Our Story
By simmers, for simmers.
IESims started with a simple problem: we wanted a realistic Airbus setup for our own rigs, but we couldn't find the right gear anywhere. One of us is a future pilot obsessed with flying metal tubes; the other is a 3D printing and marine tech enthusiast.
When we realized the specific PFD and ND units we wanted weren't being made by the big brands, we stopped searching and started building. We focused on a 'mini' style, which means building gear that actually fits on a normal desk without needing a dedicated room for a cockpit. Most of us don't have room for a full-size cockpit, so we built something that gives you the flight deck feel without taking over your whole setup.
The idea began at our desks as a personal project. Once we had a design we were proud of, we shared it with the community on Reddit, expecting maybe a few dozen views. Instead, the post exploded with over 20,000 views in the first 24 hours. The response made it clear: we weren't the only ones looking for better cockpit hardware. Once we saw how much it changed our own simulation experience, we knew we had to make it available to the rest of the community.
We are still in the very early stages of this journey. While we only have a few sales under our belt, weβre already working to scale up and meet the interest from the community. Every unit is hand-assembled, tested, and shipped by us personally to make sure it's perfect before it hits your desk. Weβre stoked to finally bring the first version of these displays to your cockpit. See you in the skies.
